Through joint research, product testing, and applied innovation, industry partners help shape next-generation performance solutions while gaining meaningful visibility within an R1 research environment. Our partners include leaders in motion capture, bat and ball technology, performance tracking, and advanced pitching and hitting analytics, such as TrackMan Baseball, KinaTrax, Swing Catalyst, NewtForce Technology, and Spinball iPitch. Together, we accelerate discovery, improve athlete-development models, and contribute to sport-science advancements with real-world impact.

WVU Baseball Inner Circle

Beyond industry collaboration, WVU Baseball is strengthened by a select group of philanthropic partners committed to elevating our program. The WVU Baseball Inner Circle brings together supporters whose generosity directly enhances our ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Members receive exclusive locker-room recognition, symbolizing the all-in commitment we expect from our players, staff, and closest supporters. Excellence at the highest level requires investment across the full student-athlete ecosystem, including scholarships, performance science, player development, and NIL-aligned opportunities. WVU is actively expanding these resources, and the WVU Baseball Inner Circle helps drive that momentum through three foundational pillars:

Essential Student Athlete Support

Through the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC), Inner Circle support enhances scholarships, travel, nutrition, academic services, and overall competitive readiness—ensuring our student-athletes have the resources to succeed.

Innovation, Revenue, and NIL Enablement

Gold & Blue Enterprises (GBE) strengthens WVU Athletics by generating new revenue opportunities and creating structured NIL-aligned pathways for student-athletes. GBE’s enterprise partnerships complement traditional support and expand the program’s longterm sustainability.

Leading Edge Player Development

In partnership with BioPrecision LLC through GBE, the WVU Baseball Biomechanics and Performance Center is advancing its pitching and hitting biomechanics technologies. These enhancements position WVU as a national leader in applied sport science and ensure sustained access to world-class performance tools.

Partner, Sponsor, and Donor Testimonials

Mountaineer Baseball and the WVU School of Sport Sciences are on the forefront of baseball development. Data provided by the NewtForce mound not only allows pitchers to make immediate improvements but also provides data to be analyzed by WVU students and biomechanics researchers

WVU’s Biomechanics and Performance Center is a game-changer for player development. By combining motion capture, data analytics, and strength programming, it creates an elite environment to refine mechanics, improve efficiency, and reduce injury risk. This facility represents the future of baseball performance, and WVU is clearly ahead of the curve.

Hitters are going to get better at West Virginia. Swing Catalyst allows hitters to make adjustments quickly and see immediate impact on the field. The lab WVU has built is second to none.

West Virginia’s Kinatrax motion capture lab is arguably the most comprehensive developmental training center in the United States. We are excited to partner with great people and a great program.

WVU Baseball and the Biomechanics and Performance Center has been a groundbreaking partnership for us at TrackMan. Their use of 4 TrackMan B1 systems inside the facility has set a new standard in the industry for data capture. This partnership shows how TrackMan and a facility can be utilized to the maximum benefit of the athletes participating in data capture sessions, and we are proud to have our systems installed and utilized by the Biomechanics and Performance Center. The data collected has continued to open pathways for new insights to be discovered, and we are excited to maintain and expand our partnership with WVU Baseball and the Biomechanics and Performance Center.
