Our Mission

WVU Baseball Biomechanics and Performance Center advances the future of baseball by combining science, technology, and training to support athlete development, injury prevention, and performance optimization. Our goals:

A Run Through Our History

WVU Baseball

West Virginia University’s Division I baseball program, the Mountaineers, competes in the Big 12 and has a long history of player development and recent competitive success, including the program’s first and second-ever NCAA Super Regional appearances in 2024 and 2025 with multiple players advancing to professional baseball through the MLB Draft. The Mountaineers are recognized for their commitment to excellence on the field and in player development and have consistently produced All-Big 12 honorees and student-athletes who excel academically and athletically.

WVU Baseball Biomechanics and Performance Center

Opened in March 2025, the WVU Baseball Biomechanics and Performance Center is a state-of-the-art facility next to the Ken Kendrick Family Ballpark. Purpose-built to integrate advanced biomechanics, performance testing, and applied sport science into daily player development, the Center represents a unique collaboration between WVU Athletics, School of Sport Sciences, and BioPrecision LLC. This partnership ensures that the facility not only supports the competitive success of Mountaineer Baseball but also advances teaching, research, and outreach. The Center serves as a hub for data-driven performance optimization and experiential learning for students to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and on-field application.

WVU Baseball earns a reputation for player-first development.

The 8,200 sq. ft. facility opens, featuring pitching lanes, batting cages, force-plate mounds, and advanced analytics technology.
