Career Path Summary
During her time with WVU Baseball, Jadyn Collins held multiple titles within the organization, all within the “student manager” group. As a sophomore, she started as a student manager, learning how to operate all different areas. She ran Trackman, BATS, scoreboard, pitch clock, & music systems, pitching machines, and all else that was needed for practices/games. Through this, she learned as much as possible and was consistently at the ballpark in season. This earned her the role of Operations Assistant during her junior year. In this role she completed all of her on-field responsibilities, as well as assisting with travel itineraries, nutrition center orders, team meals, tours, etc. This allowed for her to be a large part of the administrative side of the program along with staying on field as much as possible. In her final year with the program, she was named Head Student Manager. This role gave her the responsibility of being the leader of the student manager program. She hired, onboarded, and trained new student managers along with leading the group of student managers in its entirety (30+ managers). She also delegated titles/assignments to managers. In this role, she worked closely with the coaching staff and team to ensure overall program success.
After graduating from WVU, Jadyn went to Cape Cod to scout for the Oakland A’s. In this role, she evaluated top collegiate talent, including some of WVU’s own players. She wrote scouting reports on every player that she watched throughout the Cape Cod Baseball League’s 2025 season. Post summer internship, she is now a full-time intern for the A’s scouting department. She assists the scouting department and front office with any organizational needs, with a heavy focus on the 2026 MLB draft.

Highlight Project
Not a physical project but more of an achievement. I am incredibly proud of the 2024-25 season that we were able to have as a team, manager group, and organization as a whole. Having the opportunity to lead a group of my peers was such a privilege. From the beginning of the fall, bringing in new players and managers, and assisting the team to the best of our abilities, to going into a season where we made another Super Regional appearance was such an accomplishment. I am honored to have had the opportunity to be in an impact role with that group and it was a season that I will never forget.
